The Birds of Vermont Museum has recently installed a Little Free Library. I thought it would be fun to make an illustration that we could use on a Bookcrossing label as well.  Of course, a spectacled owl would be better, but those aren’t native to Vermont. 

Since so far, I’ve only sketched this, we’re right now using my ink drawing “Bob’s Hat” (from 2014) for this.

Okay, true, a Little Free Library and Bookcrossing aren’t the same thing! But I figure cross-posting/cross-pollination of these great and lovely things (birds and books, hello) is a happiness. 

Now, must find time to paint…
