June has some really fun art themes: JuneBug, Junicorn, JuneFae. Plus it’s Pollinator Month. 

So I thought I’d mash them up a bit.  

First in this months’ 4 sketchbook posts: a Junicorn Junebug. 

I have no idea what kind of insect it draws on. I think there’s fly or bee or monster mixed up in it, and how you get such a narwhal-like spiral horn out of chitin I’ll never know. I guess I’d have to be a magician (or a weird gene-splicer*) to learn…. 

As I’m trying to do with the Sketchbook patrons: 3 of the Sketchbook posts are early for Patrons, then Public, and one stays just for Patrons. It’s still really hard to figure out which one (although I think I have all four ready)(Already!). 

* I havebeen reading Oryx and Crake recently…
