Continuing with some birds—can you identify any of them yet? (There was a hint in my IG feed when I reposted the sketches).(Or will be, I forget when I scheduled that.) So much still to do! If only I didn’t need to sleep or do work or housekeep or chauffeur …. *snort* Yeah, right, like I don’t also fritter about with less important things too. And go through weeks of insufficient drive and consequent hiccups in reaching for goals…. Still, that cycle keeps rolling so I’ll work hard when I can. 

My dear family gave me inks for my birthday last winter. Lots of lovely colors. I spent a wee bit of time on YouTube looking at painting with inks and especially how to clean my brushes after. (Early, often, with gentle bar soap, apparently, unless you have fancy brush cleaners.) Bottle caps make handy inkwells if you don’t have a palette handy. More colors are coming!

So for those birds I’m trying layers of ink on three different watercolor papers (hot press, which is pretty smooth, cold press, which is nicely bumpy. The small square is Arches brand, and I’ll have to go check the other two and tell you later. 

If or when I finish these I’ll probably offer them for sale. Most things are, really, but I don’t get around to saying so clearly or often enough, probably.
