Inspired by our kids catching frogs, checking out salamander eggs, and otherwise getting muddy a few Sundays ago. There’s a great vernal-and-sometimes-longer pool near my sister’s house. 

What? Yes, of course we reported their finds on iNaturalist and the Vermont Reptile and Amphibian Atlas! Citizen Science for the win!
