Rose-breasted Grosbeak stamp WIP

Hooray! Moving on some projects here. Needs work on its bib, I think. Do you agree?

I’ve been exploring how to lay out space in these tiny things. They are about 1″ by 1.5″ –whatever those tiny Post-its are. I like how my skill constrains me to these rough lines and blocks, since that’s so different from both my sketching style and my ink line drawing style.

Why the gaps between finishing stamps? Well….. We’ve  been traveling and working and hiking and playing and hosting an art reception and drawing and test driving and discovering allergies and cleaning bird cages and writing and taking photos and gaming and arguing and keeping the bear out of the trash and planning and cooking and talking finances and laundry and fussing at the radio and covering at work and chilling and reading and playing with dogs and scribbling and  pestering kids and chore-doing and having a date night and more working  and and…you know, ordinary living stuff.

ALL THE THINGS.

Sometimes art  and making are on top, sometimes not. Sometimes posting said art is on  top. Sometimes not. I link it when I can devote a day to prepping stuff to post and schedule it out fo rthe month, but I haven’t had a chance to dot hat for July. Or August (yet!, she says optimistically).

What are you working on? Link it in comments!

p.s. you might’ve seen this on facebook or instagram first, which was an accident. So I added more thinking in this post because you deserve more!
