I showed you the sketches for these stamps a week or two ago. Well, I kept going with them! Here’s the final result showing all four—what’s your favorite?

I stamped three sets (each with one mermaid) and listed them in my Etsy shop. That’s all I have blank cards for right now!
I’m using American Crafts blanks, which come 8 in a pack and I can only find them retail. Admittedly, the retail price for these small packs seems to still be less expensive than a bulk price for a similar sized card on a different paper (I’m getting a sample though, because that stops being true if I keep having to drive to get just 3 or 4 packs at a time…). I quite like how they handle the ink I’m using to stamp with. Memento’s Tuxedo Black. Acid-free, fade-resistant, water-based.
I love making these stamps. You can tell, huh?
My moms have both been sharing other printers’ works with me—yay, inspiration! One of the artists I follow can cut Oh-my-goodness-so-smooth lines—I am in awe. Another of them looks like he’s using the same sort of stamp block material but larger, rolling ink application, and some gorgeous paper. That’s like fine art printing or something. I would make such a mess with that. It looks like fun.
On my to-do: scan some of these dark prints for digital reproductions. Another to-do: clean up my shop/make a “local” one (on my own website).
On to more birds…and other art for June, for patrons, for happiness.
