I scribble-sketched this maybe a week or three ago. \u00a0Sunday night, while the four of us streamed some episodes of Deep Space Nine and my son and I boiled down some maple sap into syrup at the same time, I fixed the tunic\/cape thing, added some shading, added the stones. I didn\u2019t mean to be multitasking; it just happened.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know what her story is. The bird didn\u2019t come through the stone steps with her; it arrived as she caught her breath and grounded her feet. Maybe it is the Greeter or maybe it has a message.<\/p>\n
This feels incomplete to me but the sketch is done. (It just is. Even though there\u2019s more in my head.) Maybe it\u2019s meant to become a painting or something.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
